Holiday Leftovers with Rubbermaid TakeAlongs

Holiday season is here! In my home, the season is starts October 1 and goes through January. I know, that’s a quarter of a year.  Any later and there just isn’t enough time to have multiple gatherings, bake-offs and all the other merry making that goes with the season.

As soon as the temperature dips slightly, I’m pulling out the slow cooker for cozy meals. The only problem with cozy meals is that I’ve never been able to cook just for my family. My batch cooking usually turns out enough servings for a party of 10-12.

Lucky for me, I have a large family so it makes for a great reason to have a gathering. The problem is only when everyone is too busy. In that case, the workaround to keep food waste at bay is to pack it up in Rubbermaid TakeAlongs.

These food storage containers come in a variety of shapes and sizes. The lids have ridges for easy stacking and the Quik Clik™ Seal has an audible click to let you know the lid has tightly sealed into place to prevent any spills. Lastly, for those wondering—yes, of course Rubbermaid TakeAlongs are BPA-Free, freezer-safe, top-rack dishwasher safe and microwave safe for reheating.

You might as well stock up for the holiday season now, because they are perfect for all your holiday leftovers as well as your fall cooking.

Speaking of holiday leftovers, I’ll be sharing a few new ideas for what to do with them this year. For now, plan ahead. Have your TakeAlongs ready to stow away some food before you pack the rest up for your guests.

And if you are like me, you always make double up on the stuffing to ensure leftovers like this. Or if you are feeling particularly adventurous and not tired of cooking go for Turkey and Waffles Sandwich—it’s a crowd pleaser and a perfect pairing for all the football watching the day after Thanksgiving.  While you are at, you might as jump over here for some Potaffles, a crispy upcycle of mashed potatoes. How about an easy Turkey Pot Pie for the leftover bird? Let’s not forget the veggies, you can take them for a second spin with this Breakfast Hash.

So many leftover options, right? That’s the best part to all the holiday and fall cooking work, so don’t let it go to waste. Shop for Rubbermaid’s TakeAlongs here.
