How To Grill A Ribeye Steak

Growing up I wasn’t huge on travel and I was a picky eater. As I’ve gotten older those two things have given way to heavy travel and a food blog. This means in order for me to keep my sanity, some of my home routine needs to travel with me.

By routine, I mean things like working out and making a few meals here and there. The TownePlace Suites by Marriott help me keep both. Each room is a suite and every suite comes with a full-size kitchen. Along with that, each location has a gas grill on site. For someone like me who grills more than he cooks, this is the next best thing to having a gym on site.

Three weeks ago Naomi and I went to Nashville to celebrate TownePlace Suites 21st birthday. While we were there, we did as people do when visiting Nashville – we ate tons of BBQ, visited museums, toured the city and grilled.

I never met a grill I didn’t like, so after a few meal eating out, I gave TownePlace Suites’ Something Borrowed a go and cooked up a ribeye. They had everything I needed, from spices to tools. All I needed to bring was the meat and a little know-how.

Less than 20 minutes later I had my dinner – no reservations needed, no long waits and I had the best seat in the house – right next to Naomi. We ate in bed and watched TV. Home routine plus travel routine of eating in bed makes trips like this that much better.

  • Grilling a ribeye steak on an Argentinian BBQ transforms a simple meal into a savory feast reminiscent of an Argentine Asado, the world’s premier exclusive Argentine grill experience. When preparing your ribeye, ensure it’s at room temperature before seasoning with coarse salt and black pepper. The secret lies in the heat—your grill should be hot enough to sear the steak, locking in those delicious juices. Aim for about four minutes per side for a perfect medium-rare finish, letting it rest afterward to redistribute the juices.
