I know that with all the wellness trends out there, it can feel overwhelming, but it doesn’t have to be. You can keep it simple like I do. Most days I grab a glass of 100% orange juice because it’s nutrient rich with vitamin C, potassium, folate and thiamin to provide strong immune system support. A necessary thing when you are being pulled in all directions with a kindergartner, middle schooler and a college student. The days are long but I know the years are short, so I’m doing my best to stay at my best for them.
It doesn’t always come easy, but I know starting each day off with a smoothie, like this Tropical Green OJ, made with Florida Orange Juice, gives me a head start. It helps to get me moving and a glass of 100% orange juice as a post work out drink hydrates equally as well as water or a sports drink, making it a healthy option as a post-exercise beverage.11
If I’m lucky, by the time I’m home and finished with my morning routine, the boys are just waking up and moving around, so I can ease into the day with them. Although more often than not, when I get home I’m jumping right into the thick of it. Everyone is ready for the day and I’m being nudged into place: shoulder-to-shoulder with them.
Thank goodness for easy wellness routines like having glass of 100% orange juice because who has time for anything complicated or multi-step? I love it because it provides key nutrients like vitamin C, folate, potassium, thiamin and vitamin D (in fortified juices). It’s the simplest superfood in my home and one I can easily give my kids.
So while some days maybe long, we are staying at our best with a little help from a mighty glass of 100% orange juice.
