If you are anything like us, weeknight dinners are a daily topic of conversation around here. With three hungry and growing boys in the house, it’s not easy! From the 4 year old with a sweet tooth, to our adventurous 11 year old, to our extremely picky 17 year old, deciding on something that makes everyone happy is always a challenge. While Naomi and I are constantly cooking, baking, shooting, writing, all the while doing social media, time is a commodity and we wish we had more of it!
While I wish I could say we cook homemade meals for the boys every night, that is so not reality. Naomi and I are in the kitchen most days, so by the time dinner rolls around, making something from scratch is really the last thing we want to do. And while eating out is always fun, it’s not always convenient or the healthiest choice. Not to mention it gets expensive! Enter a time-saving hack I recently discovered – Blake’s All Natural Foods. And I’m so happy I did!
Blake’s has helped make weeknight dinners easy, fun, and tasty for all and instead of feeling the stress of what to make, I’ve become a hero around the house. Less time stressing out about what to make and more fun and laughter at the dinner table. How great is that? Our latest go-to weeknight dinner that works for all of us (especially the little one), is Blake’s Old Fashioned Mac & Cheese. Not only does the mac & cheese taste amazing, I feel great knowing that it’s made real ingredients, from scratch and in small batches. It looks and tastes like homemade too, which isn’t easy to do when it comes to frozen food.
Satisfied boys, lots of fun and laughter and discussions at the dinner table, all music to my ears. Now it’s time to switch it up by packing the freezer with their other meals – Gluten Free Chicken Pot Pie, Turkey Shepherd’s Pie, Turkey & Uncured Bacon Cottage Pie, Shepherd’s Pie, and Chicken Pot Pie. Not only do these all sound delicious, but it’s so nice knowing that on those crazy weeknights, we can spend less time preparing dinner and more time enjoying dinner, together as a happy family.
