Kitchen Remodel: New Sink and Faucet

Check out the newest addition to our kitchen! When it comes to home improvement, I’m all about making sure that the upgrades touch more than one aspect of our life. It needs to be stylish, but most importantly, functional. With that, I recently had our porcelain sink swapped out for Elkay’s Quartz Classic Single Bowl Sink and had their Avado Single-Handle Pull-Down Sprayer Kitchen Faucet in Brushed Nickel installed as well.

I’m obsessed.

The quartz sink is really durable, and does everything from kitchen duties, like food prep to food clean up and in between it’s finding ways into our everyday life – like what you see here.

Naomi is big on flowers, so whether we are picking wild flowers or getting them from the flower market, they get rinsed and trimmed all in one place. The single bowl Quartz sink makes it so much easier. No more broken stems or petals and the Avado Single-Handle Pull-Down Sprayer Kitchen Faucet makes gentle rinsing a breeze.

I love it when family-owned companies like Elkay get it right. And they’ve been doing so since 1920. Now they are helping me get it right, too with small moments like what you see below.

It’s quiet moments like this when it’s just me, the little guy and the pup, getting flowers ready as a surprise for Naomi, that makes fatherhood shine even brighter. Not much goes on—we talk and laugh, but it’s in these small moments that I can see the magic of childhood twinkle in his eye.

I’m loving that next to all the cooking and prep, slices of life like this make the kitchen an even better place to be.
