Life is about to get a lot easier with a little help from Quaker Overnight Oats. Thank goodness for that, because no matter how much I plan, there are still those days in which the mornings resemble a fire drill – especially on my running days. It’s like the universe knows I need to do a little me time and it reminds me of all the things I have on deadline.
Thankfully, I’m learning to slow down, take breaks and breathe. To help this personal campaign of mine, I’ve partnered with The Quaker Oats Company to share the awesomeness of their new Overnight Oats. Can you imagine: Steep. Sleep. Eat? It’s actually that easy. Just pour milk straight into the cup, put in the refrigerator overnight and let it cold-steep while you sleep – then eat the next morning when you are ready. Of course if you want it hot you can do a quick zap in the microwave.
For me, chilled is best. I make it the night before and it’s ready for me in the morning. I hit the running trail first, and when I’m done working out, I sit down and enjoy the hearty overnight oats. It’s become part of my cool-down routine to help refuel me before I kick start my day. Yay to that, especially since each single-serve container features a blend of 100% whole grain oats (+other grains), fruits, quinoa, flaxseed, nuts—and best of all no artificial flavors and no added colors. The best part, want to know the “pow” in each cup? Here you go: it has 11g of protein when prepared with ½ cup of fortified Vitamin A and Vitamin D skim milk.
See what I mean about life getting easier with Quaker Overnight Oats – and, psssst . . . these are going to be especially handy when school starts – can you say back-to-school breakfast? Are you with me?
