Who is ready for the holidays? I’ve been ready since the beginning of November. In fact, if it were up to me alone, the Christmas tree would have gone up the day after Halloween with these Holiday Citrus Sparklers for sipping while Naomi and I were tree trimming. Well, that’s trimming a fake tree—so, that’s fluffing and bending back branches.
But my oldest insisted we wait—bah humbug.
I relented. Because the compromise is I leave everything up until Jan 15. Can you tell I love the Christmas? It’s the best time of the year—it really is! This year it’s especially so with the baby. That’s the fast growing, ever-wiggling, entertain-me-dad, Baby. I’m a sucker and do.
It’s exhausting. I’m not complaining. It’s just a fact.
So at the end of the evening, this cocktail is a nice refresher. The Prosecco keeps it light and easy to sip. It’s the perfect holiday drink to serve alongside appetizers or at the end of a meal. I’m hoping my family will enjoy it as much as I do for our Christmas day dinner.
And if you can’t wait until the next holiday party or Christmas day to enjoy this, I’m pretty sure cocktail hour is a short time away—go for it—I won’t tell.
